The roots of Bagel Chicks Bakery stretch back nearly a century, beginning in 1932 when Sam Costantino arrived in New York City from Sicily, Italy.
Inspired by the promise of opportunity as he passed the Statue of Liberty, Sam built his American dream from the ground up — starting with flour, water, and a small family bakery in New York.

Super friendly staff and Kat ( owner ) always makes time to chat. Great bagels, pastries, and cream cheese. Sandwiches are amazing.
I enjoyed the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel. The bagel, especially, was very good, and held the sandwich together quite well. There is a large variety of bagels and pastries, so I look forward to trying something new the next time I visit.
This is our favorite place for bagels. Our favorite being everything and salt. Then cinnamon raisin for those sweet tooths. Although the egg ones are good too. Shoot, they’re all great. Our all time favorite smear is scallion. The service is always good. There are sometimes bees in the case which doesn’t bother us much because we know as soon as a case is opened, even for a moment, they can make their way in. We’ve had some cookies which aren’t our favorite and sandwiches that were ok. So we’ve dropped ordering anything except bagels. We will go out of our way to visit on road trips because we’ve moved away since they opened. We used to visit 2x a week.
A message to the owners, don’t over stretch your menu. Quality goes down when this happens. We’d rather a small menu that’s perfect rather than tons of items that are only subpar. Definitely a place we recommend to try even if only for the bagels!!!!

I think I have found my family’s new favorite place to get an amazing breakfast and coffee!! We live in Frederick MD and regularly travel to different places to check out the restaurants and I am so glad that we decided to visit here! So many choices of bagels (all made there) and the pastries are out of this world and so many choices that it makes it amazingly difficult to choose which one you want to try. Coffee is great and the sausage egg and cheese on a cheddar bagel was so good. Son had a sausage egg and cheese on a french toast bagel and I have never seen him woof something down so quick! He loved it. Please if you are in the area check this place out, you will definately not be disapointed. Sidenote : watching the owner herself carry a large order personally out to the customers car showed me that they care for their customers and that is the type of place I want to visit. We will DEFINATEY be back and I wish you were closer to me we would be a regular customer. Thanks for the superior customer service and food.

Hi family,
Our oven Big Bertha is having a serious case of the Mondays today. She flipped a tray over inside of her which has halted our baking process for the morning. Due to that we will be offering a limited selection of bagels for breakfast sandwiches and bagels toasted with cream cheese only.
